Qualifications for Student Membership
To be eligible for student membership, you will need to provide verification that you are currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program and submit evidence with your application you are earning credit hours towards receiving an associates, bachelors, or masters level degree at a recognized college or university.
ISACA student membership is available for first-time members only. Individuals that are currently or were previously ISACA members at any level (other than student) are not eligible for membership at this rate. Membership at the student level is limited to 6 years in total.
Current students should submit proof of their enrollment status along with their student membership application. Note: Only one (1) form of verification is needed. Acceptable verification includes:
- Copy of your class schedule
- University transcript
- Letter from the university verifying enrollment

Student Membership Fees
Student membership fees include US $25 for basic ISACA International dues (savings of US $110), plus local chapter dues (at zero or reduced student rates).

IMPORTANT: Required IRS Notice
The Tax Reform Act of 1993 includes a provision that eliminates the portion of an association member’s dues attributable to an association’s lobbying expenses. Beginning with 1994, associations have been required to notify their members about the non-deductible portion of their dues and similar payments at the time of assessment or payment of dues.
Contributions or gifts to Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Inc. (ISACA) are not deductible as charitable contributions for U.S. income tax purposes. However, they may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses subject to restrictions imposed as a result of association lobbying activities. ISACA estimates that the non-deductible portion of your 2018 ISACA membership dues – the portion that is allocable to lobbying – is 1.0%. Contributions or gifts to the IT Governance Institute, an institute organized and operated for educational purposes, may be tax-deductible as charitable contributions. Please consult your tax advisor.
